AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO WORK IN PUBLISHING
Osprey, Osprey Games & Shire employ around 50 people in our West Oxford office and are part of Bloomsbury Publishing plc, who are a leading international publisher with strengths in trade, children’s, professional and academic publishing, both digitally and in print. We are currently looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking individual to fill the role of Marketing Assistant. This role is part of a lively team and will be an opportunity to learn essential skills through close involvement in all aspects of a book’s life. This role reports to the Senior Marketing Manager
•Updating, moderating and monitoring our social media accounts, blog and forum.
•Copywriting and implementing marketing campaigns through email, web promotions, digital content and direct mail
•Maintaining and updating the Osprey e-commerce website
•Providing in-house customer support for website, phone and mail enquiries (in conjunction with a third party customer service provider)
•Assisting with organizing and attending events in the UK
•Providing general support for the marketing department such as ad-hoc tasks, as well as other marketing related task
Skills, knowledge, experience
•An academic background in history or publishing would be an advantage, but is not essential.
•The ability to understand and create content that appeals to the passion of the enthusiast is vital
•Excellent organisation and time-management skills, multi-tasking
•Excellent administrative skills, and telephone skills
•Social networking awareness and experience
•Problem solving skills
•A proactive, can-do attitude
•A keen eye for detail
•IT skills (Microsoft office, databases, websites etc.)
This role is a full-time permanent position, based at Bloomsbury Publishing Plc, Kemp House, Chawley Park, Cumnor Hill, Oxford OX2 9PH. Bloomsbury Publishing offers a competitive salary, great development prospects and generous staff discounts.
