Bradbury Phillips International Ltd, (recently acquired by knk Publishing Software) was founded in 1987 and has been successfully supporting the needs of the book publishing community for 31 years.
Bradbury Phillips develops rights and royalty accounting software for both publishers and literary agents. Their core products include Rights Manager, Agency Manager, and Royalties Manager software. Widely used by publishers and literary agencies of all sizes, Bradbury Phillips software is the benchmark product for the industry and the standard by which competing products are measured. Their clients range from individual literary agents to multinational publishing houses. Their client base is worldwide, with users in the UK, US, Canada, Europe, Australia, Russia and China.
Bradbury Phillips is seeking a UK-based Software Consultant to compliment the growth of our UK and US operations. As the newest addition to the knk family of companies, Bradbury Phillips is joining forces with a dynamic professional organization with over 150 employees (and growing!) based in offices worldwide.
The key responsibilities of a Software Consultant will include but not be limited to the following:
•Serve as the primary contact point for current and prospective clients, providing product advice, customer care as well as paid consulting services
•Become a subject matter expert in the software in order that you can demonstrate the current portfolio of applications as well as new products that may be brought to market. Product training will be provided.
•Respond to new enquiries and actively promote the software at trade events
•Actively participate in client meetings
•Working with BP's support team, manage the release of upgrades including briefing customers on new features and functions, and providing these same customers with the associated upgrade documentation
•Training of end users (via web and on-site)
Personal Skills & Experience:
•Significant experience in the areas of publisher or agency rights and royalty management from either the publishing or literary agency perspectives – ideally from both.
•Computer-literate and experienced in using business software.
•A mature and patient disposition with superior communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of a client organization.
•Sufficiently organised and independent to work from home (if desired)
•A part-time role is possible – with a minimum work week of 20 hours and the possibility to transition to a full-time role (salary will be pro-rated).
