Marketing Campaign Manager (maternity cover, 9 month contract)
£30,000 - £40,000
Posted on: Wednesday 07 March, 2018
Usborne Publishing, the largest and most successful independent children’s publisher in the UK, is looking for an experienced, motivated and diligent Marketing Campaign Manager to join its busy UK Marketing & Publicity team.
Usborne is an independent, family business, and was ranked #1 specialist children’s publisher in the UK in 2017. Each year they publish over 300 distinctive, engaging, accessible new books, and have nearly 3,000 titles in print. These range from books for babies such as the bestselling That’s not my… series to YA fiction from acclaimed authors such as Holly Bourne – with everything from Magic Painting to Politics for Beginners in between. The UK Marketing & Publicity team is responsible for promoting and publicising this entire list to trade customers and consumers.
Usborne are looking for someone with the skills, experience, passion and enthusiasm to plan and implement effective marketing campaigns for a wide range of children's books: working to tight deadlines, managing budgets, delivering creative results and of course measuring return on investment.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role, promoting books to a range of audiences including booksellers and other retailers and reaching parents and young readers directly. This is a short term contract so you will need to hit the ground running with regard to both the creative side and managing the money. You must be passionate about children’s books in general and Usborne books in particular.
This role would suit an experienced marketer who is interested in working on a diverse range of campaigns across the entire Usborne list, including baby books, novelty and activity books, fiction and non-fiction. Usborne is a great place to work with a friendly, family ethos.
This is a full-time role, for nine months (maternity cover), based in our central London office.
Please send your CV and covering letter via email to Anna Howorth, Director of Global Branding & UK Marketing: firstname.lastname@example.org
Closing date: Monday 26th March 2018
Salary: £31,136-£40,328 (depending on experience)
Only successful candidates will be contacted and we regret that no correspondence can be entered into.
