About the Job
We are looking for a Senior Editor to develop our growing list of digital products, books and journals in health sciences. The role will involve editorial, digital product and production work. The successful candidate will work closely with the Editorial Manager, Chief Executive, Marketing Manager, Customer Support Manager and Editorial Assistant. This role is full time and on a permanent contract.
You will be joining a small, supportive and collaborative team in a modern office with lovely rural views.
This role will be based in our Bridgwater, Somerset office.
∙ Project management of digital products, books and journals within agreed timescales and budgets ∙ Commissioning of new content and new editions ∙ Coordinating large groups of contributors, authors and endorsing organisations ∙ Development editing of manuscripts ∙ Liaison with key account customers ∙ Collaborating with web developers and technical suppliers on the scope and delivery of new projects ∙ Building relationships with multiple stakeholders including overseas co-publishing partners ∙ Occasional travel will be required
The right candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience working as an editor or project manager within a publishing company. Proven experience of overseeing multiple successful projects is essential. You will have a knowledge of and interest in digital publishing. We are looking for a self-starter who is able to work under their own initiative, communicating with freelancers, web developers and authors. People management experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.
