Bloodhound Books is seeking an entrepreneurial Digital Marketing Executive to join our team. This newly formed position will report into a company director and represents a superb opportunity for a talented digital marketer, who combines creativity with analysis, to heavily contribute to the ongoing success of a dynamic and fast-growing digital publisher.
Founded in 2014 we have quickly established ourselves as one of the UK’s leading independent digital publishers. With over 1.5 million eBooks sold, we work with in excess of 50 authors and have published more than 80 titles to date. A small and passionate team is the backbone of our success and this new role will play a critical part in our continued growth.
About the role:
This is a hands-on role and your task is to connect our books with more readers. There will be a strong emphasis on optimising our Facebook advertising campaigns, identifying areas for improvement and for increasing ROI. You will refine and deliver our launch strategy for each new title, as well as developing and implementing a coherent strategy for continued promotion of a growing backlist of titles.
Key responsibilities will include:
∙ Creating and managing Facebook advertising campaigns
∙ Analysing data from online advertising campaigns and creating actionable insights
∙ Managing affiliate partners and retailer advertising campaigns
∙ Developing new digital advertising opportunities
∙ Managing email sign up forms
∙ Growing email lists and creating targeted email campaigns
∙ Development of automation sequences
∙ A/B Split testing
∙ Website updates
∙ Improving search engine optimisation of site
∙ You will have extensive experience of managing Facebook advertising campaigns and a detailed knowledge of best-practice
∙ You’ll be strongly analytical, but have a flair for the creative
∙ Experience in marketing eBooks would be a huge plus, but you must have experience marketing mass-market consumer items in a high volume/ low margin environment
∙ A real passion for digital marketing and a keen awareness of new trends and opportunities
∙ A passion for literature, particularly crime and thriller fiction, would be a big plus
∙ Some knowledge of SEO and web design would be advantageous
∙ You will be comfortable working as part of small team, juggling different and constantly changing priorities
∙ You’ll be home based, so you’ll need to be able to work with minimal supervision but to actively seek support when required
∙ The successful applicant will be expected to come to Cambridge for interviews and training and up to twice per month thereafter You will, therefore, be located no further than 90 minutes travel from Cambridge. With fast and regular trains to Kings Cross and Liverpool Street, this includes most areas of London, as well as of course, Cambridge itself and surrounding areas
∙ It is imperative that applicants have a suitable home office space in their home where they can work without frequent interruption.
