Tiny Owl is a small, independent publishing company committed to producing beautiful, original books for children from around the globe. We believe that stories act as bridges – providing pathways to new experiences whilst connecting us to here and there. Our books are visually rich and conceptually meaningful giving children a greater awareness of the diverse and colourful world we live in.
We are looking for a passionate and committed Sales and Marketing Manager to grow Tiny Owl’s business and to become part of our small, innovative team.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement marketing campaigns designed to drive sales of our front and backlist titles
Undertake effective analysis of all marketing campaigns and apply to future strategies
Secure reviews and promotional opportunities for forthcoming releases, achieving the best possible media coverage before and after publication
Implement and deliver Tiny Owl’s events programme to drive sales of all titles through book awards, festivals, book launches and events
Work with UK and international key accounts teams to further develop existing relationships with retailers and distributors and to ensure that accurate bibliographic information is up to date
Create and develop content for the website and our social media networks

Key Skills/Experience
Minimum of two years’ experience running marketing and publicity campaigns across all media
Copywriting and copyediting skills
Results focused, numerate and used to working in a highly pressurised environment
Strong commercial awareness and passion for art and stories from around the world
A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop is preferred

This role could suit either a Sales and Marketing Executive looking for the next step or an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager who is looking for a new challenge in a less corporate publishing environment and who wishes to further their career in an exciting and varied role.
