Founded in 1989, Amber Books Ltd is a thriving publisher of illustrated non-fiction books producing 60-80 new books a year. Subjects include history, travel, military technology, natural history, gift books and general reference.
Amber Books is looking for a Rights Executive with at least two years' experience working within a rights department for an illustrated non-fiction book publisher. You will be responsible for selling coeditions and licenses into a number of territories including Russia, Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia and Estonia. You need to be proactive, well-organized and detail-oriented. You must enjoy travelling and working as part of a small team. Languages are an advantage.
Responsibilities include:
•Selling coeditions and licenses into a number of territories.
•Negotiating and raising contracts
•Chasing, analysing and inputting royalty statements into the Rights database
•Attending Frankfurt and LBF each year plus sales trips as required
•Chasing advance copies, royalty statements, payments, tax certificates
•Reporting to the Managing Director
