Bloomsbury Publishing has a bright modern office just outside Oxford’s city centre. We are looking for a highly organised, capable and proactive office professional to manage the
day-to-day running of our office, which is home to about 100 staff.
∙ Facilities management; ensuring our office is well maintained, outsourcing tasks where necessary
∙ Liaising with our landlord to ensure the common areas of the building are also maintained well
∙ Assisting with ad hoc projects, such as office moves, space planning, furniture planning
∙ Day-to-day office management such as switchboard calls, incoming deliveries, security procedures
∙ Managing the post room and courier services
∙ Maintaining an efficient and safe office environment; including H&S audits, work station assessments, fire safety
∙ Ordering office supplies such as stationery and processing invoices
∙ Manage the meeting rooms, catering requirements, organising in-house and external events, travel & car hire
Skills, knowledge, experience
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
•Suitable experience of a similar role, either office administration or office management
•A practical common-sense approach to managing office space
•Strong administration skills, and be highly organised
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
•IT skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and databases
•Confidence to deal with internal and external contacts. To enjoy working with people and remain calm under pressure.
This is a full time permanent position, based at our Bloomsbury offices at Kemp House, Chawley Park, Cumnor Hill, Oxford, OX2 9PH, UK.
