Senior UK Marketing Manager
£40,000 - £60,000
Posted on: Friday 11 October, 2019
Usborne Publishing, the largest and most successful independent children’s publisher in the UK, is looking for an experienced, motivated and diligent Senior UK Marketing Manager to join its busy UK Marketing & Publicity team.
Usborne is an independent family business. Each year we publish over 300 distinctive, engaging, accessible new books, and we have nearly 3000 titles in print. These range from books for babies such as the bestselling That’s not my… series to YA fiction from acclaimed authors such as Holly Bourne – with everything from Magic Painting to Politics for Beginners in between.
The UK Marketing & Publicity team is responsible for promoting and publicising this entire list to trade customers and consumers. This role will report to and support Usborne’s Director of UK Marketing & Global Branding, and form a pivotal position in a fast-paced and effective team.
We are looking for someone to take a lead role in this talented and dynamic team: overseeing staff, managing budgets, organising systems and processes, and of course planning and implementing effective marketing campaigns on time and on budget.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role, managing people and campaigns. They will exhibit excellent organisational skills and an understanding of the strategic goals of the business. We are looking for someone who can work well with people and processes, and who can balance creative talent with return on investment. Exemplary interpersonal skills and an ability to work closely with colleagues across the company are a must, as is attention to detail. A passion for children’s books goes without saying, but should be backed up with strong business acumen.
This is a full-time, permanent role, based in our London office in bustling Clerkenwell.
Please send your CV and covering letter via email to Anna Howorth, Director of Global Branding & UK Marketing: email@example.com
Closing date: Sunday 10th November 2019
Salary: circa £47,000 plus excellent benefits
Only successful candidates will be contacted and we regret that no correspondence can be entered into. No agencies.
