Digital Project Assistant, Education (Maternity Cover, 2.5 days per week)
Working within the Bloomsbury Education team, this role will provide key administrative support for digital projects, and also offer the opportunity to develop editorial skills.
This is a part-time role working two and a half days per week. Days are flexible, but ideally to include Monday and Friday as full days plus one other half day.
•Assisting with all aspects of a digital platform for educational publishing
•Managing the preparation and upload of content
•Liaising with digital, editorial, authors and designers to keep projects on schedule
•Editorial duties including proofreading, copy editing and copy writing for web
•Assisting with preparation of materials for sales and marketing
•Responding to general queries and assisting in other administrative tasks as required
Skills, knowledge, experience
•Good organisational skills
•Confident with good verbal communication
•Good administration experience, gained in an office environment
•Excellent written communication skills
•Able to demonstrate accurate spelling, grammar and punctuation
•‘Can-do attitude’ with willingness to work on varied and changing tasks
•Demonstrable ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
•Some digital experience preferred
•Demonstrable interest in education, particularly teaching and Learning.
The role is a maternity cover, part-time position for an initial term of 6 months with possibility to extend, based at Bloomsbury Publishing Plc, 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP.
