Our company is called Nielsen Book and we provide a range of services to the book industry internationally, aiding the discovery and purchase, distribution and sales measurement of books. For publishers we offer a range of services from assigning an ISBN to a book to adding its metadata to our database and supplying promotional tools to help market it.

2 What opportunities and challenges can you help IPG members with?

We can help publishers with the purchase and allocation of ISBNs, as well as ways to add and enhance books' metadata on our database, which is used by booksellers and libraries worldwide, and promotional tools to help market books. We can also offer advice on distribution, the supply chain and industry standards. Finally our sales data and consumer insight services can provide a unique picture of the market and the book buying public.
