1 What's your company called?
2 What services or products do you offer?
We offer a wide range of graphic and illustration services. We specialise in book cover design but often people will also want web banners, bookmarks, business cards, websites and posters, and to have books converted to different formats like audiobooks.
3 How can you help IPG members?
We can provide members with efficient and effective services, creating visual and eye-catching graphics at a competitive cost.
4 What do you enjoy about working in publishing?
We really enjoy the variety, because everyone has a different story to tell and every book takes you to a different place. Also the people we work with are often inspiring and have similar views to ourselves.
5 What do you think is the single biggest opportunity and the single biggest threat for independent publishers right now?
I think the biggest opportunity is the fact you can easily write and publish books without having to go through loads of red tape. Obviously it takes a lot of work from the writing process to the finished product and promotion, which is probably the most important part of publishing. You have to work really hard to get your name out there, either via social media or attending events, and independent publishers can do this very well. I suppose one of the biggest threats is people copying work and reproducing it at the click of a button.
6 What do you get out of belonging to the IPG?
The IPG gives us the chance to get to know our customers and meet new ones. It also provides lots of information about what’s going on in publishing and events that are happening.
