What achievement are you most proud of this year and how will you be celebrating it over the festive break?

Oliver Gadsby, chief executive of Rowman & Littlefield International and chair of the IPG

Well, what a lovely question to be asked as the year draws to a close! The odd difficulty along the way can be forgotten; this is a chance to bask in the best moments of the year.
It’s been tremendous fun to be Chair of the IPG at a time when there is such energy and momentum in the organisation. Bridget has done a wonderful summary of the year in her recent blog, and she and I are both very proud of the IPG team in all they do for the membership. Amongst an array of events, the Annual Spring Conference stands out as a highlight. It was a fantastic event—and I love the fact that as soon as it was over, Bridget was pondering how we could make things better still in 2016…
As for celebration, I fancy sledging at high speed down one of the hills in the Cotswolds, near my Cheltenham home. It may be wet and mild as I write this, but I’ll remain optimistic for a white Christmas. Have a good one, all!
