Seminars
IPG members meet on a regular basis to discuss important industry issues. These seminars are an excellent way to pick up useful business tips and learn from the experts. Issues under debate have included sales, marketing, rights, distribution, retailing and e-commerce.
The IPG annual spring conference
The IPG’s spring conference is a must-attend event that looks at varied publishing matters and runs workshops on aspects of the industry. We invite key figures to talk and share advice, and run a troubleshooting session where members can seek answers to their questions from fellow delegates. The social side of the conference is great too—meet fellow publishers and network with business contacts.
Book fairs
Join the IPG’s collective stand at important book fairs in London, Frankfurt and Beijing. Because the IPG negotiates great deals on stands, sharing space is a cost and time-efficient way of getting a presence at these high-profile events. Occasional trade missions allowing members to take an in-depth look at important territories are also available.

The IPG e-mail bulletin
A mine of information and a great way to stay in touch with developments in the publishing industry. We round up the latest news and resources, together with prizes, from both the IPG and elsewhere in the industry. And it’s all delivered right to your desktop.
Questions corner
A great interactive service that provides a gateway to the expertise of hundreds of IPG members. Ask a query about anything you like and the chances are that a fellow publisher can help you with some advice!
Global intelligence
Identifying potential export markets and finding out more about them isn’t easy for companies, but the Global Publishing Information Database has extensive information about markets across the world available at the touch of a button. The GPI database is run by the Publishers Association, and an annual subscription by the IPG gives members free online access.
A voice in the industry
The IPG represents members’ interests and gives them a voice in the industry.
