Information

Membership of the IPG gives you instant access to up-to-the-minute market intelligence and resources.

Publishers can find it difficult to get access to the high-quality information they need — but the IPG is here to help. Even if you are unable to attend our regular meetings, membership puts valuable knowledge at your fingertips.

  • The IPG e-mail bulletin
A mine of information and a great way to stay in touch with developments in the publishing industry. We round up the latest news and resources, together with up to date information on events, courses, grants and prizes, from both the IPG and elsewhere in the industry. And it’s all delivered right to your desktop.
  • Questions corner
A great interactive service that provides a gateway to the expertise of hundreds of IPG members. Ask a query about anything you like and the chances are that a fellow publisher can help you with some advice!
  • Global intelligence
Identifying potential export markets and finding out more about them isn’t easy for companies, but the Global Publishing Information Database has extensive information about markets across the world available at the touch of a button. The GPI database is run by the Publishers Association, and an annual subscription by the IPG gives members free online access.
  • Business support helpline
IPG membership entitles you to use of the Croner Consulting Business Support Helpline, a highly respected advice and guidance service covering the spectrum of UK business law and practice. Trained professionals will help to solve your problems in countless aspects of your business. Tax, employment law, health and safety, copyright, contracts and debt recovery are just some of the areas covered.
  • Building contacts
Among the IPG’s 480 members will be companies and people that can help you — meetings and events are a great way to share information.
