The IPG proudly presents

The Independent Publishing Conference 2010

Friday 19th to Sunday 21st March 2010 at Beaumont House, Old Windsor

The IPG is delighted to present the programme for its 2010 Spring Conference, and warmly invites all members to join us for this essential publishing event.

Aimed at helping every independent to become an even better publisher, the Conference is crammed with practical, business-orientated advice. Help with tackling the big digital challenges facing publishers is our main focus this year, and we have gathered together some of the industry's leading experts to help publishers survive and thrive in these challenging times. Whatever your publishing interests, there'll be plenty to sharpen your thinking and decision-making.

Highlights from a great-value Conference schedule include:

Keynote speech from Bill Thompson, journalist and commentator. Bill is one of the country's leading experts on new media. The founder of the Guardian's website and now a regular contributor to BBC News, the Times and others, Bill will inspire our thinking about ways to use new and future technologies in publishing

CILIP's Chief Executive Bob McKee will discuss the future of libraries and how publishers can support them

The chance to quiz a panel of the country's leading booksellers at our Question Time with the Retailers session

Digital masterclasses to advance your knowledge of XML, copyright issues and e-book sales and marketing, plus Beyond the Book sessions to help plot your way through the electronic maze

Top independent publishers brought together in a 'Burning Issues' session discussing the industry's pressing concerns

Exclusive insights into the very latest UK and international sales trends from experts at Nielsen BookScan

A choice of 'How To' Sessions offering hands-on advice for working with retailers and libraries, mastering special sales, placing print orders and funding your business

Great opportunities to meet publishing colleagues old and new, including the ever popular Friday-night drinks reception and You and Your Business slot

The 2010 Conference - the 48th annual gathering in the IPG's history - takes place at Beaumont House in Old Windsor from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st March. This superb hotel is conveniently located with excellent public and road transport links, and features modern conference services and luxurious room and leisure facilities.
