Impact

Martin Palmer began his career in sales at Harper Collins where he spent 18 years. He was a pioneer in the Supermarket arena after the collapse of the NBA, managing the UK field sales teams, key accounts, and promotional customers over the years.
He left Harper Collins in 2005 to take up the Sales and Marketing director role at Tempus Publishing, a Military History publisher based in Stroud. He became a main board director and helped steer the company (along with board colleagues) through some difficult times until it evolved into The History Press.
In 2008, Martin joined Nick Robinson to head up the Sales, Marketing and Publicity team at Constable & Robinson. He helped the company double its sales in the coming years, from £5.8m to £11.7m, before it was sold to Hachette following the sad loss of Nick.
Martin set up his own Company, Martin Palmer Publishing Services Ltd (MPPS Ltd) in September 2014, offering sales services, and advice. His current clients include John Blake Publishing,( he is also a Non exec at JBP) Head of Zeus, Haynes Publishing, Titan, and Accent Press. Martin also represents Casemate in selected areas, and Jellyfish print management company.
