About the Job

Are you an experienced and hands-on Sales & Marketing leader confident giving strategic direction to the business’ go-to-market plan? Do you enjoy the challenge of developing new sales channels?
This newly created role, Head of Sales & Marketing, is an opportunity for an experienced sales and marketing leader to help SpeechMark and Radcliffe Health exploit market opportunities for professional resources in all formats including digital, print and licensing. Reporting to the MD, you’ll join the senior management team in the Health Publishing division to spearhead international business growth.
Your role will be to grow revenue for a varied list of excellent resources with a substantial backlist that sells into the academic, professional and trade markets. You will drive the strategic direction of marketing and lead all UK & international sales, growing new markets in all channels including digital opportunities, eBooks, third party relationships with institutions and professional associations.
You’ll be right for the role if you
Are degree educated with leadership experience in the publishing industry (essential) within (preferably) health, education or related areas.· Are a hands-on sales and marketing leader experienced in giving strategic direction and developing growth plans.· Have a track record of successfully managing, developing and motivating a sales and or marketing team to achieve targets. · Have demonstrable sales ability, are highly persuasive, articulate and possess excellent negotiation skills.· Are at ease with digital products and have proven commercial skills to work the numbers, negotiate and close deals.· Have verified financial management experience (i.e. forecasts and budgets) and are highly numerate. · Possess excellent Excel skills and competent in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. · Possess an EU work permit and can freely travel domestically and across Europe.
