About the Job

The Casemate Group is one of the leading independent specialist publishers (Casemate Publishers and Oxbow Books) and distributors, providing global sales, marketing, print, digital and publishing services. Publications include the very best in art, archaeology, architecture, aviation, medieval, military and social history, with over 200 client publishers from both trade and academic sectors. This is a crucial role that will support a busy sales and marketing team. Candidates who demonstrate attention to detail, a critical eye, and great time management skills will be at an advantage. You will work closely with the UK sales and marketing departments to most effectively support campaigns that promote the company's brand and grow its revenue successfully, worldwide. The role is ideal for graduates with a history or publishing background looking to forge a long career in the publishing industry.
In this varied role you will assist the Sales and Marketing Department by:·
Gathering bibliographic data from client publishers and data entry·
Creating book information sheets for use by the Sales Team·
Maintaining and improving data for the group websites and to feed to third parties, including our distributors, wholesalers, and Amazon·
Dealing with sales enquiries from booksellers, individual customers, and overseas representatives·
Working with the Sales Department to identify titles that need more targeted sales and marketing attention·
Preparation of material for sales meetings from AIs through to order forms and researching the sales potential of individual titles·
Helping to produce catalogues and promotional material·
Researching new sales and marketing leads·
Conference preparation and reporting, with the occasional attendance·
Helping the marketing department with market and subject research, review copy and print mailing despatches·
Email and social media marketing support
The ideal candidate will have:·
Eye for detail, accuracy and consistency·
Exceptional project management, organisation and prioritising skills, capable of working with a variety of internal and external colleagues and on several projects at once·
Enthusiasm for history and a strong desire for a career in publishing·
Excellent written and verbal communication skills· Flexible, responsible and professional approach

Job information

Salary: £15,000 per annum pro rata, 35hr week
