Aurum: encompassing Aurum Press, Jacqui Small, Frances Lincoln and the newly launched Union Books imprint, is seeking a creative and commercially minded Publicity Manager for a maternity cover position.

Our publishing group has established a reputation for publishing diverse and dynamic non-fiction and the company publishes under a number of imprints, all of which maintain a strong, individual identity. These imprints are Aurum - general non-fiction that concentrates on biography, film sport military history, travel, architecture, and current affairs; Jacqui Small - specialists in sophisticated and beautifully produced books on cookery, gardening, and interior design; Union Books – a newly created literary imprint publishing unapologetically upmarket and intellectually ambitious non-fiction; and the recently acquired Frances Lincoln – publishers of illustrated books of the highest quality with a special emphasis on gardening, walking and the outdoors, art, architecture, design and an additional focus on illustrated books for children.

The successful candidate will have solid experience of implementing campaigns for non-fiction and illustrated titles, have a creative approach to generating coverage and have an established and diverse range of media contacts.

The position requires previous experience of working proactively with the media in a publicity or PR role, experience of working closely with authors and good links within the publishing industry as a whole.

The Publicity Manger will report to the Publicity Director.
