2014 IPG Independent Publishing Awards
A very warm welcome to the launch of the 2014 IPG Independent Publishing Awards! The IPG is delighted to be running these Awards for the eighth year in a row, and we hope you will be inspired to join our celebration of the achievements of independent publishers in the UK.
Our Awards, run in partnership with The Bookseller and The London Book Fair and supported by our valued sponsors, have gone from strength to strength since we honoured our first crop of winners in 2007. During that time an amazing 82 Awards have been handed out to more than 50 different companies and individuals. We know they have all enjoyed celebrating their success.
The IPG Independent Publishing Awards are now a favourite fixture on the publishing calendar, and we want to make them bigger and better than ever before in 2014. We have 12 different categories to enter, and there will be at least one to suit each of our wonderfully diverse publishing members. Making a submission is quick and easy, and you are welcome to enter as many Awards as you wish.
We have included here some thoughts on the value of winning an IPG Independent Publishing Award from some of our past recipients. Many tell us that their Award has had a massive impact on their business, transforming their profile within the publishing industry and providing a lift to everyone who works at the company. Simply making an Award shortlist can have an energising effect, and even the process of entering is valuable in itself, since it provides the opportunity to reflect on past achievements and future ambitions.
If you have any further queries about the entry process, or would like some guidance about which Awards you might submit for, please do contact the IPG. We will do everything we can to help and encourage you to enter. We look forward to receiving your entries, and to celebrating independent publishing’s success at the Awards Gala Dinner on Thursday 27 February 2014. Thank you for your support of the Awards, and good luck!
